Professor Paula Franzese shares family recipe with students to fund public interest programs
On April 23, students from Section M shared smiles, laughter and Professor Franzese’s famous penne á la vodka at the law school. The students brought friends and family to share the meal they paid $2,000 to enjoy. The students won the pasta party as the highest bidder at the Public Interest Auction in February, a fundraising event that supports the Seton Hall Law Public Interest Summer Fellowship program and he Public Interest Loan Repayment Assistance Program.
Professor Franzese said, “Pasta night with my students is one of the great highlights of my year. Our class is a family, and to have the opportunity to come together –with parents, spouses, loved ones, friends –and break bread, share stories and celebrate the semester is a joy and a privilege. I love meeting the people who matter most to my students, and I delight in seeing the resemblances, the endearing connections and the boundless kindness shown by all.
Professor Franzese will also hold a party for the second highest bidders, Section B. Sections B and M had the pleasure of taking her Property Law course
