Jim Hlavenka is an associate within the FDA practice group of Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, P.C., where his practice focuses primarily on the lawful marketing and sales of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biologics, dietary supplements and medical foods. Jim advises companies on a breadth of federal and state pharmaceutical laws and regulations, and counsels clients in both the pre-approval as well as commercial phases. Prior to joining Buchanan, Jim served as judicial clerk for the Honorable Clarkson S. Fisher, Jr., J.A.D. of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. 

Jim graduated Seton Hall University School of Law in 2010, where he served as Student Bar Association president and as a member of both the Interscholastic Moot Court Board and the Seton Hall Law Circuit Review. He remains an active member of the community serving as a mentor to current students and as a member of the Seton Hall Law Alumni Council.
