Elaine A. Rocha is the Chief Operating Officer for AIG Investments based in New York City.  The role is central to collaboration amongst the Chief Investment Officer for AIG and his senior leadership team; Elaine ensures prioritization of critical, strategic issues and the seamless sharing of information across the organization.  She is also responsible for managing the Investments Global Operations team. 

Prior to joining Investments, Elaine served as Associate General Counsel and Vice President for several business units within the Commercial Insurance group of AIG.  Prior to joining AIG in 2010, Elaine was a senior associate with the law firm of Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti in Morristown, NJ where she was a member of the firm's Diversity and Recruiting committees and also served as a mentor for the summer associate program for several years.  While at Riker, Elaine focused her practice on providing insurance coverage advice and also handling complex insurance coverage litigation matters for her foreign and domestic insurer clients.  Elaine is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia and is also admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

In her free time, Elaine enjoys distance running, including half and full marathons, travel, skiing, the beach, and shoe shopping.  She is also a sports enthusiast, and an avid fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees.
