Jonathan Samon is an attorney with Hogan Lovells US LLP in New York. His practice has included such complex commercial litigation areas as securities litigation and white collar criminal defense, in addition to a pro bono death penalty appeal in Memphis, Tennessee.
Prior to entering private practice, Jon clerked for the Honorable Garrett E. Brown, Jr. (Ret.), Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, as well as for the Honorable Donald S. Coburn, Judge (Ret.) of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. While attending law school, Jon was an editor of the Seton Hall Law Review and elected President of the Student Bar Association.
Jon is a frequent marathoner and huge New York Giants and New York Yankees fanatic. He also owns the most impressive voice this side of James Earl Jones – Mr. Jones even said so when he was a guest speaker during the law school’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2004.
