Assistant Professor of Legal Practice
Professor Pukl-Werbel is an Assistant Professor of Legal Practice at Seton Hall University School of Law teaching both Legal Research & Writing and Persuasion & Advocacy. Since joining the law school community in 2005, she has been active in both the Legal Practice curriculum and the Legal Education Opportunities (LEO) Program teaching Legal Writing.
Prior to joining the law school faculty, Professor Pukl-Werbel served as an Assistant District Attorney for the New York County (Manhattan) District Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant District Attorney, Professor Pukl-Werbel prosecuted hundreds of felony criminal matters in addition to jury and bench trials within the Sex Crimes Unit, Domestic Violence Unit and Firearms Trafficking Unit. Additionally, she worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor of New York City handling felony narcotics prosecutions, long-term narcotics investigations, and surveillance techniques. She also clerked for the Honorable Walter R. Barisonek and the Honorable Scott J. Moynihan of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Union County.
Professor Pukl-Werbel has also appeared as a commentator and legal analyst on truTV (formerly Court TV) and on Fox News.
Professor Pukl-Werbel received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law where she was a member of the Legislative Journal, the Interscholastic Moot Court Board and was the first recipient of the Public Interest Fellowship. She received her B.A. in Communications and Business from Loyola University Maryland.
