Professor Kelly is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Center for Social Justice in the Family Law Clinic. He teaches Family Law, Marriage and Divorce, Family Mediation and Family and the State. He is also director of the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program and has worked for New Jersey Protection and Advocacy in Trenton, New Jersey, handling impact litigation cases in federal and state court on behalf of disabled individuals.

Case Digests: Students Argue a Case Before Second Circuit

Clinic Students Matt Heimann '08 and Lincoln Wilson '08 Win Argument in the Second Circuit
      
June 5, 2008 - Impact Litigation Clinic students Lincoln Wilson and Matt Heimann took a break in their bar studying on Tuesday to argue a case in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. They had spent the year in the Impact Clinic representing an indigent client, illegally sentenced in the New York state courts, whose civil rights claim had been dismissed. On Thursday, they received a victory, with a panel of the court unanimously agreeing that their client's claim should be reinstated. They join six other Impact Clinic students who have briefed and argued appeals in front of the Second Circuit - before even taking the bar exam.
