He has authored numerous legal briefs in the Courts of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court on various human rights and international law issues. For his teaching, Seton Hall Law students voted him Professor of the Year in 2007.

Case Digests: Students Argue a Case Before Second Circuit

Clinic Students Matt Heimann '08 and Lincoln Wilson '08 Win Argument in the Second Circuit
      
June 5, 2008 - Impact Litigation Clinic students Lincoln Wilson and Matt Heimann took a break in their bar studying on Tuesday to argue a case in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. They had spent the year in the Impact Clinic representing an indigent client, illegally sentenced in the New York state courts, whose civil rights claim had been dismissed. On Thursday, they received a victory, with a panel of the court unanimously agreeing that their client's claim should be reinstated. They join six other Impact Clinic students who have briefed and argued appeals in front of the Second Circuit - before even taking the bar exam.
