SECTION 2 - SELECT AN ANSWER TO EACH OF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
My cumulative GPA is at least 2.60 (Preference for all clinics)
My cumulative GPA is between 2.33 and 2.60 and I am requesting a GPA waiver
(If in this category, waiver request is a prerequisite for all clinics)
I have significant flexibility to do clinical work, and to appear in court, during business hours
(Preferred for some but not all clinics. Please read course descriptions. )
I will be completing an AWR in the Fall '11 semester.
I will be completing an AWR in the Spring '12 semester.
I recognize that clinical work takes a significant time commitment. I have read the description of work required for each of the clinics to which I am applying, and I am able to make the time commitment to perform an excellent job on behalf of my clients, notwithstanding any AWR, work-related, or other obligations. If chosen for a clinic I will discuss the obligations with the Professor before accepting a position in the clinic.
I am fluent in a language other than English. Please list:
My expected date of graduation (Other: )
Before the semester in which I am applying and wish to enroll in a clinical course, I will have taken and completed:
Professional Responsibility (a prerequisite for all clinics)
Evidence (a prerequisite for all clinics)
Persuasion & Advocacy (a prerequisite for all clinics)
57 credits (preference for at least 57 credits but not a prerequisite)
Have you previously taken a clinic or are you currently enrolled in a clinic?
Are you applying to enroll in the Investor Advocacy Project in 2011-2012?
SECTION 3
Please explain why you wish to enroll in a clinical course by typing a statement of interest of no more than 250 words in the space below (do not attempt to attach files):
You may note your prior or intended future commitment to public interest work, or to the client base served by one or more of the clinics, or describe any special qualifications or interest you bring to one or more of the clinics. If you are requesting a GPA waiver, you should explain why it should be granted. You may also explain or clarify your answers to any of the other questions asked.
SECTION 4 - CHOICE OF CLINICS
Please rank the clinic(s) for which you wish to apply, in order of preference. Please place a A 1@ next to your first choice clinic, a A 2@ next to your second choice, etc., up to A 7@ for your seventh choice. Do not rank any clinic in which you are not interested. This means that you can apply to only one clinic (by placing a A 1@ next to that clinic), or you can apply to all 7 clinics (by placing A 1@ through A 7@ next to each of the clinics), or you can apply to some but not all of the clinics. We will attempt to match students to clinics insofar as feasible. Please place a check mark in the Notation column for any clinic to which you are applying that includes a column for notations.
