M.S.J. Degree Fact Sheet

What is an M.S.J.?
Seton Hall Law School’s Master of Science in Jurisprudence (M.S.J.) provides professionals working in health care, pharmaceuticals, information technology, telecommunications and biotechnology with a solid foundation in the legal and regulatory aspects of these industries.  Students can concentrate in health law, intellectual property law, or both.

What can I do with an M.S.J. degree?
The M.S.J. degree is unique in that it is specifically designed to provide a rigorous grounding in the law for students who do not want to become lawyers, but who instead, want to use the law to enhance their effectiveness and marketability in a non-legal career.  Combining this unique degree with their professional experience, M.S.J. graduates are discovering that there are unlimited opportunities available to them.  M.S.J. alumni work in a broad spectrum of positions: compliance officers, contract analysts, health care administrators, medical technologists, nurse managers, patent/trademark assistants, pharmaceutical financial analysts, pharmacists, quality assurance managers, supervisors, clinical operations directors, administrators and lobbyists.
