What qualities and techniques make the most engaging advocates so persuasive? How can attorneys fashion their written and oral advocacy skills to be the most effective in front of any audience, employer, or judge? How can advocates use evolving technology to their advantage, and when are such channels of communication appropriate? What are the ethical bounds our profession places on the limits of oral and written advocacy? Seton Hall Law Review’s Volume 45 Symposium, “The Art of Advocacy,” will explore how legal advocates, young and old, can be the most effective written and oral advocates possible by considering these and other questions in an afternoon of panels. Multiple panels of distinguished professors, administrators, and practitioners will speak throughout the day, and the event will culminate with a keynote dinner in the Newark Club.
