  • In the campaign of 1946, Eleanor Roosevelt appeared with Peter Rodino during his run for Congress. Many felt that her tacit endorsement later factored into his win in 1948.
  • Congressman Rodino received global attention, when he served as Chair of the House Judiciary Committee during the 1974 Impeachment Hearings.
  • Peter Rodino was awarded the Bronze star. He volunteered for the army in 1941 and served in Italy. He was discharged as Captain in 1946.
