In the sports context, the responsibilities of an in-house counsel spark unique challenges, as in-house counsels are both legal representatives and employees of their organizations. Because of this dual role, many conflicting ethical duties and obligations may arise. The Keynote Address will examine the potential conflicts of interest and ethical challenges that in-house counsels for professional sports teams face.
