Schedule
Program Dates, Class Meetings, and Enrollment
Students will be in class from Monday - Thursday or Friday from July 8, 2009 - August 7, 2009. Students will receive a more specific schedule as well as syllabi before departure. Classes will be conducted at the Louvain Institute for Ireland while in Leuven and the NUI at Galway while in Galway. The faculty will have an office at the Louvain Institute and the NUI at Galway. On the weekends, students will have free time for independent travel.
Class Attendance Policy, ABA Residency, and Grades
Classroom attendance is mandatory. Students are expected to attend classes and be well prepared for class. The Seton Hall University School of Law Attendance Policy and Honor Code will be enforced. Students are required to attend a minimum of 75% of class sessions in a course. A student seeking to accelerate graduation should consult with the Registrar before enrolling. Students will be evaluated in accordance with current standards of the ABA, AALS, and the faculty of Seton Hall University School of Law. Faculty will provide an overview of the coursework and advise students of their grading and exam process. Students participating in the program should note that acceptance of any credit or grade for any course taken in the program is subject to determination by the student's home school.

Wednesday, July 8 - Orientation Dinner and Introduction to E.U. course
Thursday, July 9 - EU Class I, visit European Court of Justice in Luxembourg (day-trip)
Friday, July 10 - Optional Tour of Leuven and guided walk through Hageland area Vineyard
Saturday, July 11 & Sunday, July 12 - No Class
Monday, July 13 - EU Class II (2pm - 6pm, including a 20 minute break)
Tuesday, July 14 - EU Class III, visit E.U. Institutions in Brussels
Wednesday, July 15 - EU Class IV (9am - 1pm, including a 20 minute break)
Thursday, July 16 - EU Class V (9am - 1pm, including a 20 minute break)
Friday, July 17 - EU Class VI (9am - 1pm, including a 20 minute break)
Saturday, July 18 - Depart for Galway
Sunday, July 19 - No Class
Monday, July 20 - Wednesday, July 22 - IP & Health-Pharma Classes I-III (9:30am - 12:00pm
and 1:30pm - 4pm)
Thursday, July 23 - Trip to visit High Courts in Dublin and the Guinness Brewery
Friday, July 24 - Sunday, July 26 - No Class
Monday, July 27 - Wednesday, July 29 - IP & Health-Pharma Classes IV-VI (9:30am -
12:00pm and 1:30pm - 4pm)
Thursday, July 30 - Program Sponsored Trip to the Galway Races
Friday, July 31 - Sunday, August 2 - No Class
