I am looking for someone to sublease a studio apartment as early as June 2015. You would be able to sign your own lease for a reduced price (apprx. 1300/mo) on October 1. My name is Caitlin and I am a second year law student at Rutgers Law-Newark. I live right near the intersection of Halsey Street and New Street (near Green Chick Pea, Art Kitchen, 27 Mix, Kilkenny's, and McGovern's). I live in a two-bedroom apartment and will be subletting one of the rooms from May 31 or June 1 until the beginning or mid-August. The landlord does not charge utilities; the only extra charge you'll need to worry about is the electricity for air conditioning (that will be about $40 for the two months). This is a great place- comfortable, homey, and in a great location. I've always felt very safe. The landlord is great- very attentive and helpful.
