There is a spot opening up June 1st in an apartment in the Ironbound (88 Fillmore Street) - The available bedroom is a single with plenty of room for clothes and other necessities. The apartment itself is very nice and well kept - it has a spacious common room with couches and other amenities, including a full kitchen. The current occupants are two former SHU students and a student finishing up his first year. The current occupants are extremely friendly and accommodating. The environment is conducive for studying - it's quiet and distraction free. Other Details: Water included in rent. Very friendly neighborhood. Located right across the street from the PathMark and next to the #1 bus stop - 10 minute bus to Penn Station right by the school. (Note: the school offers transportation for free at nights via a van service). Also, it's around a 20 minute walk to the school for when it's nice out! Personal Details: I was thoroughly satisfied living here after 2 years in Hoboken where the rent can become quite expensive. Summer sublet (mid May to early August)--dates are flexible---great for graduating students taking the bar or interning in the area. I live in Eleven80 in Newark, and I pay about $1,200 per month and about $60-$75 per month on utilities (high-speed internet and electricity).
