Law students may call (973) 761-9175 for appointments any weekday between 8:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Please visit the Health Services Web site for information on after hours care resources. Health services include: allergy desensitization injections, dermatology, evaluation and treatment of accident-related injuries; HIV testing; general primary care for common health problems; gynecology; health education and referrals.

Insurance

The state of New Jersey requires all full-time students attending an institution of higher education in the state to be covered by health insurance. All law students registered for 9 or more credits will be automatically provided with Accident and Illness Insurance. Students will be billed for this insurance, along with tuition, each semester. The Aetna Policy Brochure on the insurance plan is available online or at the Office of the Dean of Students located on the 3rd Floor.

Seton Hall University requires all students who are covered by another health insurance plan to complete a waiver form indicating other coverage. Once this form is submitted, the bursar will adjust the student's bill accordingly. Only one waiver is required per academic year. The waiver deadline for the Spring semester is January 19, 2010 and will be listed here once it is made available.

Law students who are residents of states other than New York, New Jersey or Oregon may also obtain a policy through the Law Student Division of the American Bar Association.
