Seton Hall University abides by all New Jersey state laws regarding the use and prohibition of alcohol and drugs, outlined as follows:
A host or hostess who provides alcoholic beverages to a visibly intoxicated guest can be held liable for injuries inflicted on a third party if that guest is involved in a motor vehicle accident.
The reader is strongly encouraged to maintain familiarity with any changes because current laws may be revised and/or new laws established following publication of this bulletin. At this time, there are several bills regarding various aspects of alcohol use that are pending approval in the state legislature.
