Professor John Forrester Hicks

Seton Hall Law School welcomes visiting Professor John Forrester Hicks. This spring, Professor Hicks, who is visiting from the University of Tulsa College of Law, will be teaching Trusts and Estates. He previously taught at Seton Hall Law School as a Visiting Professor during summer and fall 1999, spring and fall 2000 and again in summer 2003. He has also been a Visiting Professor at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Brigham Young University School of Law, Stetson University, Wake Forest University School of Law, and University of California, Hasting College of Law.

Professor Hicks teaches Property, Real Estate Transactions, Real Estate Finance, Land Use Controls, and Decedents’ Estates and Trusts. He is a former editor of the American Bar Association's Natural Resources Lawyer and the Oklahoma Bar Association's Real Property Report. He also wrote “The History of The University of Tulsa College of Law,” which was published by the Oklahoma Historical Society in 2005.
