Seton Hall Law Welcomes Professor Michael Coenen

Newark, NJ – October 19, 2017 - Joining the faculty of Seton Hall Law effective July 1, 2018 is Professor Michael Bradford Coenen, currently a faculty member at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.  He will hold the rank of full Professor with tenure. 

Prior to his service at LSU, Professor Coenen was a Climenko Fellow and Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School.  He holds an A.B. in Music from Princeton University, where he graduated summa cum laude, and a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an Articles Editor for the Yale Law Journal.  After graduating from law school, he clerked for Judge Guido Calabresi of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Professor Coenen teaches and writes in the areas of constitutional law, federal courts, criminal procedure, and administrative law.  His articles have been published in the Yale Law JournalColumbia Law ReviewUniversity of Pennsylvania Law ReviewVirginia Law Review, Vanderbilt Law Review, and Minnesota Law Review.
