Along with sunny days and deep blue skies, this spring saw the Seton Hall Law Rising campaign reaching the $15 million mark -- just six months from the launch of the $25 million capital campaign last October. Gifts small and large are helping the campaign to reach its goal of enhancing the reputation of the Seton Hall Law degree. In this issue, we focus on several recent contributors who have been recognized for their generosity with a naming opportunity. To learn more about giving opportunities, please visit the Seton Hall Law Rising website. As always, we welcome your comments and feedback. You can reach us at lawalum@shu.edu or 973-642-8711.

Enriching the Law School Experience

In addition to a strong and nationally respected faculty, Seton Hall Law also provides students with an expansive network of student organizations and support services to enhance their law school experience. In appreciation of the value these programs bring, the Class of 2008 has committed more than $25,000 to name the office of Cindy Ball Wilson, the Director of Student Services at Seton Hall Law ."

The Judge John J. Gibbons Moot Court Room

Judge John J. Gibbons is not a graduate of Seton Hall Law; he graduated from Harvard Law. But his connections to Seton Hall Law are deep and far reaching, stretching back to the law school's first dean, Miriam T. Rooney. Over the years, he has been a consistent and strong supporter of Seton Hall Law believing it is essential to support "a very important New Jersey institution." In recognition of that support, the law school will be naming its small moot court room in his honor.

Cafe Deni

The coffee shop at Seton Hall Law soon will be sporting a new name: Cafe Deni. With two Seton Hall Law graduates -- father William P. Deni Sr. and son William P. Deni Jr. -- the Deni family has pledged $200,000 to the Seton Hall Law Rising campaign because law school also should include time for relaxing, socializing, and building lasting friendships.
