NOTICE REGARDING MILITARY EMPLOYERS RECRUITING AT SETON
HALL UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW
THIS LAW SCHOOL REQUIRES ALL EMPLOYERS WHO RECRUIT ON-CAMPUS
HERE TO AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE NON-DISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT
POLICY SET FORTH BELOW:
Non
Discrimination Policy
Seton Hall University School of Law has long been committed to a
policy against discrimination in employment based on national
origin, color, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age,
disability, marital and/or parental status.
The U.S. Armed Forces, due to its "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"
policy, does not comply with this policy. Due to current law and
regulations, however, a law school which forbids the military to
recruit on its campus in a manner equivalent to that offered to
other employers, risks loss of federal student aid funding both
at the law school and its parent university.
At this time, the American Association of Law Schools has
adopted a policy that recognizes the risk and permits law
schools to have military recruiters on campus, provided that the
school posts notices of the military's failure to abide by its
non-discrimination policy and takes other ameliorative action as
appropriate.
