The Honorable James Smith
Superior Court of New Jersey - Appellate Division
U.S. Courthouse
1 Main Street
Newark, NJ 07102

Dear Judge Smith,

I realized today that I never took the time to formally thank you for the opportunity to intern for you this summer. I hope it is not too late.

As this semester has progressed I have realized every day how much I learned in the time spent in your chambers. Interning for you has paid dividends in the classroom and has opened the door to future employment with firms in the area. In the past month I have received two offers for present and future employment from local attorneys, both of whom specifically mentioned my time spent with you as a reason to grant me an interview. Additionally, my writing and research skills progressed measurably over the summer, in no small part due to your tutelage.

I hope everything is running smoothly in your chambers. I will stop in to say hello before your Mediation class soon.

                                                                        Respectfully,

                                                                        Frank DeMasi
