Students who wish to be considered for need-based
scholarships and grants must first file a FAFSA, as
outlined in How to
Apply. The FAFSA collects income and asset
information each year to determine your ability to
help pay for your education. An Estimated Family
Contribution (EFC) is calculated by the Department
of Education based on the information contained on
the FAFSA. The FAFSA collects information regarding
your prior calendar year’s federal income tax
returns. If there are unusual circumstances not
reflected on the FAFSA, please contact the Office of
Financial Resource Management. Your EFC is
subtracted from the Cost of Attendance, also known
as the Student Budget, to determine your financial
need.
Centennial Grant
This need-based grant is
awarded on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted
with priority given to those students with exceptional
financial need. The
Centennial Grant is not renewable, but awarded each
academic year in accordance with program policies,
demonstrated need and
available funding.
LEO Scholarship Fund
This is a one-time,
non-renewable scholarship awarded to students who
satisfactorily complete the Summer Legal Education
Opportunity (LEO) Program. LEO students must
complete all necessary Financial Aid documents prior to finishing the
program to be considered for this need-based grant.
