Monitor Call-Out Procedures
| Advance Notice (More than 24 hours): | ||
| If you know in advance that you will be missing work, or if you have arranged to switch hours with another monitor, please notify the Law Helpdesk at least 24 hours notice via email. Send your email to the lawhelpdesk@shu.edu. | ||
| * If you are missing work, please give a valid reason (i.e. vacation, doctor's appointment, tutorial, etc.) | ||
| * If you are switching hours, please tell us who you are switching hours with, and why | ||

Emergency, Illness or Late (Less than 24 hours during weekdays): |

|
If you are missing work for an emergency or illness (i.e. less than 24 hours), or will be late for your shift, you must contact the Law Helpdesk BY PHONE directly (NO EMAILS) at the following numbers. Call in the following order until you talk to someone directly (If no one can be contacted directly, a message is sufficient): |

| If Procedures are not Followed: | ||
|
* The first time you are late or miss work without following the procedures listed above, you will be warned and asked to reread and sign a copy of these guidelines. |
||
|
* The second time you are late or miss work without following the procedures listed above, the time that you missed will be permanently removed from your schedule. You will also be required to reread and resign a copy of these guidelines. |
||
| * The third time you are late or miss work without following the procedures listed above, your employment will be terminated. You may reapply for the next work period, but you will no longer be allowed to work for the Division of Legal Computing for the remainder of the current work period. | ||
