Monitor Checklist

Must be completed at the beginning and end of each monitor’s shift

  • Check with Lolimar, Tan Tan or Mike McBride at the beginning of your shift to be notified of any special projects or assignments.
  • Check the Monitor Tasks Lotus Notes database for any open tasks.
  • Inspect the primary lab to make sure that all stations and printers are up and running. Remove excess paper and debris from all areas. Push in all chairs at vacant workstations and straighten keyboards and monitors.
(Check periodically during your shift )
  • Make sure that all printers are always "ON LINE". Fill all printers with paper.
  • Make sure there is an adequate supply of paper in the paper cabinets in the Primary Lab, and Library 3rd, 4th and 5th floor printer stations. If needed get paper from the 2nd floor copy room and toner from the rear storage area behind 373. (Check periodically during your shift )
  • Make sure every station is operational. If a station is down, find out why and take substantial steps to remedy the situation. If you cannot correct the problem, report it immediately to the law helpdesk or technical services, either verbally or by email.  Make sure that a helpdesk ticket is created for all issues that cannot be quickly remedied.
  • Keep staple area clean and functional. Fill staplers, clear jams, throw out unneeded papers and clear stray staples from the counters.
  • Tape up used toner in boxes, marking them "RECYCLE" and place them in the used ink drop area behind the monitor's desk near the windows. Once a day, bring all used cartridges to the recycle ink drop pickup area located in the basement near the loading dock doors (level B on the classroom elevator)
