Web Policy:  Web Page Creation, Maintenance and Support

The following is a summary of the policies and procedures adopted by Seton Hall Law School's Division of Legal Computing with respect to the creation, updating, maintenance and support of official Seton Hall Law School web pages.

Form and Structure: All official SHLS web pages are stored on the University Web Server located at our South Orange main campus. All pages are placed in the law.shu.edu subweb and appropriate subdirectories as determined by the Division of Legal Computing. The form and structure of these directories are determined by the Division of Legal and may be changed according to internal department procedures.

Access To Pages: While all persons with access to the web can view our public web pages, only a select few of our law school users are authorized to make changes or create new pages. These users, known as "content editors", are authorized by the Division of Legal Computing and given the appropriate system access to their portion of our staging web.  Those requesting content editor access should contact the Division of Legal Computing's Web Coordinator Ana Santos for authorization and instructions.

Requesting Changes or Additions to Webpages:  To request changes to official SHLS web pages, please contact the authorized content editor for that portion of the page.  For a listing of current content editors please contact the Division of Legal Computing's Web Coordinator Ana Santos. All changes or additions must comply with law school webpage standards as determined by the Division.

Personal Home Pages: All unofficial user home pages are the responsibility of the individual user. Users must obtain separate University Pirate Unix accounts and follow the guidelines set forth by the University as to procedure and content. Seton Hall Law School and the Division of Legal Computing are not responsible in any way for the creation, maintenance, content or support of these pages.
