Newark, NJ – Amanda Taylor, of West Paterson, a
third-year student at Seton Hall University School
of Law, has been presented with an Academic
Achievement Award from the New Jersey Chapter of the
American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. The award,
along with $500, was presented to Taylor in
recognition of her excellence in the study of family
law and for her pro bono work.
Taylor is president of Seton Hall Law’s Family Law
Society, an organization for students interested in
pursing law careers in the field of family law. As a
student at Seton Hall Law, she has worked on several
pro bono cases, including a divorce case, an
adoption case, and a Social Security benefits case.
Only four students throughout the state were
selected this year to receive the academy’s Academic
Achievement Award.
The only private law school in New Jersey, Seton
Hall University School of Law was founded in 1951,
and is located in the city of Newark. Seton Hall Law
School offers both day and evening programs leading
to the Juris Doctor (J.D.), Master of Laws (LL.M.)
and Master of Science in Jurisprudence (M.S.J.)
