Jackson Lewis LLP Initiates Employment Law Scholarship at Seton Hall Law School

Newark, NJ – A new scholarship program for students interested in pursuing a career in employment law has been created at Seton Hall University School of Law as part of a national scholarship program being developed by Jackson Lewis, LLP.

Known as The Jackson Lewis Employment Law Scholarship, the program is designed to assist students from underserved communities who are interested in the practice of workplace and labor law. One of the nation’s leading labor and employment law firms, Jackson Lewis is establishing the nationwide program in or near cities where it has an office, including its Morristown, NJ office.

“Seton Hall’s Law School produces some of the nation’s most elite graduates,” said Vincent A. Cino, Jackson Lewis’s National Litigation Coordinator, who is managing the scholarship program. “Through the Jackson Lewis scholarship program, we’re pleased to help Seton Hall reward students committed to the study of workplace and labor law.”

“We are delighted and honored that Vincent Cino and Jackson Lewis have selected Seton Hall Law to establish an employment law scholarship,” said Dean Patrick E. Hobbs. “The faculty of Seton Hall Law includes several highly respected employment law scholars, and we are thrilled to be able to provide this support to students seeking a career in this critically important field of law.”

As part of the nationwide scholarship program, Jackson Lewis will donate $5,000 to Seton Hall Law annually to provide a scholarship to a qualifying student each year. To qualify, students must be in good academic standing and demonstrate an interest in the field of employment law.

The only private law school in New Jersey, Seton Hall University School of Law was founded in 1951, and is located in the city of Newark. Seton Hall Law School offers both day and evening programs leading to the Juris Doctor (J.D.), Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Master of Science in Jurisprudence (M.S.J.) degrees.
