NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE EXTERNSHIP (EXTN9176)
2 credits.
Prerequisites: Minimum Cumulative 2.80 GPA, Business Associations.


The NYSE is a self-regulatory organization established under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The Enforcement Division is responsible for the investigation and prosecutions of potential trading violations of NYSE rules and regulations by members of the Exchange. Externs will work on a variety of matters including preparing requests for document production, analyzing trading records, assisting staff attorneys in interviewing members, researching legal issues, writing memoranda of law, and assisting in the preparation for depositions and for disciplinary hearings. Each extern will work closely with attorneys and other NYSE staff under the supervision of a supervising attorney.

This externship is graded on a Pass/D or Fail basis.
