Essex Newark Legal Services Externship (EXTN9205)
Prerequisites: Minimum 2.6 cumulative GPA

Essex-Newark Legal Services is a non-profit agency providing free legal assistance to low-income Essex County residents in civil matters including housing, public entitlements, family law, employment law, education law, medical access, consumer law, criminal records expungement, predatory lending, and elder law. Essex-Newark is funded primarily by the national Legal Services Corporation, the State of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Supreme Court IOLTA fund. Essex-Newark’s mission is to obtain a greater measure of justice by providing effective legal assistance on critical issues affecting low-income individuals and their communities.
