Prerequisites: Minimum 2.6 cumulative GPA;


Students are assigned to one of the following bureaus:

  • Complaint Room Bureau - (a 24-hour bureau) screens and processes all felony and misdemeanor arrests.

  • Domestic Violence – misdemeanor and felony DV cases.

  • Sex crimes – sexual assaults on adults and children 11 years of age and older.

  • Crimes against children – physical and sexual assaults on children under 11 years old.

  • Felony Trial Zones – five different geographic areas of
  • Brooklyn, handling general misdemeanor felony crimes.

  • Homicide Bureau – murder and manslaughter cases.

  • Appeals Bureau – appellate brief writing.

  • School Advocacy Bureau – crimes on school grounds or against teachers.

  • Major Narcotics Investigations Bureau – long term investigations of large scale drug trafficking.
