Prerequisites: Minimum 2.6 cumulative GPA;
Students
are assigned to one of the following bureaus:
- Complaint Room Bureau - (a 24-hour bureau) screens and processes
all felony and misdemeanor arrests.
- Domestic Violence – misdemeanor and felony DV cases.
- Sex crimes – sexual assaults on adults and children 11 years of
age and older.
- Crimes against children – physical and sexual assaults on
children under 11 years old.
- Felony Trial Zones – five different geographic areas of
- Brooklyn, handling general misdemeanor felony crimes.
- Homicide Bureau – murder and manslaughter cases.
- Appeals Bureau – appellate brief writing.
- School Advocacy Bureau – crimes on school grounds or against
teachers.
- Major Narcotics Investigations Bureau – long term investigations
of large scale drug trafficking.
