New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission
2 credits.
Prerequisites: Minimum 2.6 cumulative GPA; 3L or 4L
Prerequisite or Co-requisite: Labor Law
Restrictions: Candidate must not have an active employment relationship with a firm that represents union or management in labor relations. Candidate may not be a public employer (e.g. school board or municipal council member) or be a union official or representative.
 


The Public Employment Relations Commission deals with certain labor relations issues involving public employers, public employees, and unions that represent public employees. Such issues include representation matters, the scope of negotiations, unfair practices, mediation, fact-finding and arbitration.
