MEDIATION AND THE SETTLEMENT PROCESS (PRMD9210)
2 credits. Seminar.
Prerequisite: Dispute Resolution Processes


This seminar introduces students to dispute resolution in the judicial context. It examines the roles of judge, attorney and party in settlement conferences. It also focuses on the theory and practice of mediation. It relies heavily on role-playing as a learning technique.

Note: Students cannot apply both this course and Negotiation, Mediation & Arbitration (PRMD9209) towards degree requirements. Students also cannot apply this course and Family Mediation (PRMD9216) towards degree requirements.
