Policy on Substance Abuse

Substances are defined as alcohol, all illegal drugs and narcotics. The maintenance of the individual welfare, development, education, and rehabilitation of its members is consonant with the mission of Seton Hall University. It should be further understood that the University may therefore take preventive or prohibitory action, whether or not civil authorities act, in reference to any University member whose behavior is adjudged harmful to himself/herself or others. This principle applies even should the University member display ignorance of the significance of his/her acts.

Seton Hall University abides by all New Jersey state laws regarding the use and prohibition of alcohol and drugs, outlined as follows:
