Student Activities

A good portion of your time at Seton Hall Law School will be spent in classes, in the library reading, or at home studying, but it is important for you to make time for your other interests.  As an aspiring attorney, you should learn now to achieve balance in your life.  We encourage students to see a show at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, attend New Jersey Devil's hockey game or Seton Hall basketball game at the Prudential Center, take the train into New York and explore a museum - don't forget about what made you an interesting and well-rounded person before you came to law school.  You are fortunate to have selected a law school with a very active student body.  We encourage you to get involved in the student organizations and activities here that are geared towards your personal interests and professional goals.

Student Organizations

The Student Bar Association (SBA) is the elected student governing body and acts as the officially recognized representative of all students in the law school.  The SBA seeks to enhance student live and to improve the quality of the law school as an institution.  The SBA recognizes and funds many law student organizations to assist in fulfilling this mission.

Throughout the year, the SBA and other student organizations sponsor a variety of practical, social and educational events.  The SBA plays a major role in orientation, sponsors a Holiday Party each November in Newark and a Barristers' Ball in the spring.  Organizations sponsor career seminars focused on different areas of the law, host symposiums and panel discussions that focus on current legal and societal issues, and plan annual banquets and networking cocktail receptions during the year.  We encourage you to become involved with student organizations that pique your personal and professional interests.
