MERCER COUNTY PROSECUTOR

The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office offers a legal intern program which provides meaningful opportunities for law students. First year students handle a variety of legal research and writing assignments, including appellate motion and municipal appeal briefs and miscellaneous legal memoranda. Interns who have completed their second year are also eligible to appear in court with attorney supervision. Future lawyers may present cases before the Mercer County grand jury and can handle selected juvenile family court matters. Other tasks may include bail hearings, arraignments, guilty pleas and sentencing. Student interns may also argue pre-trial motions and municipal appeals.

Eligibility: All law students.
