Pro Bono Service Programs

NEW JERSEY PROTECTION AND ADVOCACY, INC.
 
[Trenton, NJ] - NJP&A is new Jersey’s designated protection and advocacy organization for persons with disabilities, established to advocate for and protect the civil, human and legal rights of citizens of New Jersey with disabilities; protect public awareness and acceptance of persons with disabilities as equally entitled members of society; advise and assist persons with disabilities, family members, attorneys and guardians in obtaining and protecting the rights of individuals with disabilities, and provide education, training and technical assistance to persons with disabilities. Among the projects being currently researched is an investigation of communities near Seton Hall Law School as to their compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act which requires public entities to develop a schedule for installing curb ramps for wheel-chair access at street intersections, according to priorities specified by the ADA.
