Some Seton Hall students come to law school
with the goal of a public interest career.
The Public Interest Law Fellowship program
provides the financial support our students
need to dedicate themselves to work with a
wide variety of organizations devoted to
serving the legal needs of the poor and
underrepresented. In recent years, Seton
Hall students have received funding to spend
summers with a variety of organizations,
including:
-
Urban Justice Center, Mental Health Project
-
Texas Rural Legal Aid
-
Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights Under Law
-
Legal Aid Society of New York
-
The Georgia Resource Center
-
NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund
-
Covenant House of New Jersey, Youth Advocacy Center
-
International Human Rights Institute
-
Greater Boston Legal Services
-
Brooklyn Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Division
The Fellowship's support allows Seton Hall
students to work for social justice in the
summer or during the school year. They gain
experience crucial to their public interest
employment after law school, and learn about
public interest law from within some of the
nation's best public service organizations.
