Clinic students Matt Heimann and Lincoln Wilson win argument in the Second Circuit

Impact Litigation Clinic students Lincoln Wilson and Matt Heimann took a break in their bar studying on Tuesday to argue a case in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. They had spent the year in the Impact Clinic representing an indigent client, illegally sentenced in the New York state courts, whose civil rights claim had been dismissed. On Thursday, they received a victory, with a panel of the court unanimously agreeing that their client's claim should be reinstated. They join six other Impact Clinic students who have briefed and argued appeals in front of the Second Circuit -- before even taking the bar exam.
