Biography: Mr. Samuel J. Heyman

Mr. Samuel J. Heyman graduated from Harvard Law School in 1963 and began his career as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice. He was then appointed to serve as Assistant Attorney General under Robert Kennedy and, later, as Chief Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Following his career in federal public service, Samuel Heyman enjoyed success in business and has become a philanthropic leader in our country. Currently, he heads his family’s business, Heyman Properties, and chairs International Specialty Products, a publicly held corporation listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Committed to maintaining excellence in our government’s leadership, Samuel Heyman founded Partnership for Public Service, a non-partisan organization dedicated to guiding students and professionals to federal public service. Additionally, Samuel Heyman supports programming at educational institutions that share his goal of continuing to recruit high quality leaders to serve in our government. In 2005, he supported the Public Interest and Public Service Program at Seton Hall University School of Law through a founding grant, which established the Heyman Fellowship Program.

Samuel Heyman is married to Ronnie Feuerstein Heyman, who is a successful businesswoman and philanthropist in her own right. Samuel and Ronnie are the proud parents of four.
