Biography:
Mr. Samuel J. Heyman
Mr. Samuel
J. Heyman graduated from Harvard Law School in 1963 and
began his career as an attorney for the U.S. Department of
Justice. He was then appointed to serve as Assistant
Attorney General under Robert Kennedy and, later, as Chief
Assistant United States Attorney for the District of
Connecticut.
Following
his career in federal public service, Samuel Heyman enjoyed
success in business and has become a philanthropic leader in
our country. Currently, he heads his family’s business,
Heyman Properties, and chairs International Specialty
Products, a publicly held corporation listed on the New York
Stock Exchange.
Committed
to maintaining excellence in our government’s leadership,
Samuel Heyman founded Partnership for Public Service, a
non-partisan organization dedicated to guiding students and
professionals to federal public service. Additionally,
Samuel Heyman supports programming at educational
institutions that share his goal of continuing to recruit
high quality leaders to serve in our government. In 2005, he
supported the Public Interest and Public Service Program at
Seton Hall University School of Law through a founding
grant, which established the Heyman Fellowship Program.
Samuel
Heyman is married to Ronnie Feuerstein Heyman, who is a
successful businesswoman and philanthropist in her own
right. Samuel and Ronnie are the proud parents of four.
