The Course was developed by Professor
Elizabeth F. Defeis, Seton
Hall University School of Law in cooperation of the
American Society of International Law and was made possible
by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Center for
International Studies.
Leading scholars and experts
in international law have participated in the production of
the Series. They are from the academic and diplomatic
communities, the United Nations, the International Court of
Justice and other international organizations. In addition,
a distinguished Board of Advisors have been consulted
throughout the production. Each program is approximately
30-minutes in length and includes on-camera participation of
the experts as well as historical and contemporary film
footage. The Programs have been adopted in more than 400
institutions throughout the world and is
available in English, Russian, Chinese and Spanish. The Video Series can be
utilized as a complete course on International Law or as a
supplement in other course, for example, International
Relations, International Organizations, Environmental
Issues, International Business or Constitutional Law. A Learner's
Guide and reading list accompany the Series.
