Seton
Hall University School of Law and UMDNJ-Robert Wood
Johnson Medical School have joined together to offer
two dual degree programs that combine the skills of
practicing medicine with a legal degree: an
M.D./M.S.J.
and an
M.D./J.D.
As a result of this
collaborative effort, interested students can earn
both a J.D. and an M.D. degree in six years or an
M.S.J. and an M.D. degree in five years. By pursuing
both degrees students gain the skills and knowledge
that will allow them to practice medicine or work in
a variety of law-related jobs. Persons
holding both a medical and a legal degree can pursue
many career options in medical management, managed
care, policy development and consulting.
