Exam Security
(last updated 10/15/05)
The Division of Legal Computing along with the Deans Suite are determined to keep law school exams and exam materials secure until after exams have been administered. We ask all faculty to follow the guidelines listed below when creating exams and take the necessary precautions to protect their content.
Keeping Your Exams Secure
1. When creating your exams, please Do Not Leave Your PC Unattended when you are out of your office (either close Word/Wordperfect, minimize screen, close door)
2. Please change your Network and Email passwords regularly (no one should still have the "generic" password on any account)
3. When changing your email password, please make sure you change BOTH your email passwords (network and web)
4. To submit your exams - do so either on disk or by email
5. Even though email is encrypted - you may also password protect your documents using Word or Wordperfect's password feature (however, be careful)
6. When sending password protected files through email, send the document passwords in a separate email
Using The Faculty Common Folder
- Use Only as a transfer folder for large PUBLIC files
- Remember, everyone can see the contents of this directory...
