Performing Windows Updates

As many of you already know, Microsoft Windows operating systems often contain flaws that are exposed as new software is developed, or as system engineers discover them.  These flaws must be "patched" in order to maintain a healthy OS and provide you with heightened security and system performance. 

As a matter of good system maintenance, ALL users should turn on Automatic Windows Updates as well as perform a Windows Update check at least once a month to make sure that your system is current.  Critical Updates, as the name implies, are critical to the proper operation of your operating system, while other Windows updates and driver updates are less important.  However it is usually good practice to take all updates available...
