RODINO COLLECTION

The Peter W. Rodino, Jr. Papers consist of documents and other materials following the forty-year political career of Congressman Rodino (1909-2005), as well as his tenure at Seton Hall Law School.  Documents contained in the collection bear witness to and chronicle American legislative and political history of the last half of the twentieth century. The collection is comprised of legislative records, press and campaign materials, constituent correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks and audio-visual formats that span his life with the bulk of the material reflecting work in Congress from 1949 to 1989.  The collection documents the American political process through Congressman Rodino’s participation in it.

Persons requiring on-site use of the Rodino Collection must telephone (973) 642-8766 at least 72 hours in advance to schedule an appointment.  At this time, the collection is being processed.  It is open to the public on a limited basis.
Please note: By special order of the House of Representatives, material related to the Impeachment Inquiry of Richard Nixon is closed until 2024.
