Edward S. Hendrickson, former
Dean of Admissions at Seton Hall Law
and a long-time member of the
University community, passed away
October 14.
He was a respected employee of Seton Hall
University for more than 30 years. He came to
Seton Hall in 1967 as the Director of Student
Affairs, the Student Center, and Special Events
and Concerts. Five years later, he was asked to
lead the Law School's Office of Career Planning
and Placement. Within a year, he assumed
responsibility for the Law School's financial
aid operations, and shortly thereafter
admissions. He later became the Assistant Dean
of Admissions and Financial Resource Management
until his retirement and role as Dean Emeritus.
His strong commitment and affection for students
laid the foundation for high satisfaction
ratings among students and peers. He was the
recipient of the McQuaid Medal in 1987, and the
"Edward Hendrickson Society" of donors to the
law school is named for him. Donations in his
