Housing
After making the important decision to attend Seton Hall Law School, it’s time to consider housing.
If you live in the area already, think about how you will travel to school each day, and whether your current environment is supportive of the rigorous demands of law school. Knowing how you study, what you like to do, the environment that makes you feel most comfortable goes a long way toward making the best decision about where to live. Do you prefer city or suburban life? What sort of commute is right for you? Do you need a roommate? You can get help with all these questions and more right here.
We have resources for you to pick the town, choose the rental, and find a roommate. In every neighborhood you’ll find different accommodations, activities, and services that create a unique lifestyle. This region offers neighborhoods and housing options that can meet your budget and meet your own needs.
Visit the Law School for an admitted student day, or attend one of our receptions for admitted students. Many successful roommate relationships have begun at these events. Upper-class students, who attend these events, are a terrific source of information on housing.
The Office of Student Services maintains a list of apartment and house rentals available in the area. These postings are updated almost daily.
We also maintain a roommate resource database. Once you are admitted, you can complete a roommate request form on the Web. After submitting this form, you may search the database to find other incoming students who are interested in sharing an apartment.
Additionally, the Office of Student Services has the most current apartment listings, local newspapers, realtor references, apartment guides, area maps, mass transportation maps and schedules, as well as other helpful information. We are happy to guide you in your search.
