PRINTING FROM AN iOS DEVICE

How to Install the iOS App

  1. For wireless printing to work from an iOS device, you must first register to connect to a separate wireless network (printing will not work while connected to LAW_PUBLIC).  For more information, please visit the Law Helpdesk.
  2. Navigate to https://papercut.shulaw.net:9192/ios/install (Using Safari)
  3. After accessing the installation URL on an iPad / iPhone (iOS device) an Install Profile dialog box should appear. Follow the prompts to install the App.
  4. Afterwards, a Printing App (which is actually a Web Clip) should be available on the home screen.
  5. Open the Printing app and login with your Law School AD credentials. You should see a message stating that you are now authenticated for printing and brief instructions on how to use the app.

How to Use the iOS App

  1. When in a supported app, select the print option. Most iOS apps should bring you directly to the printer selection screen. But, if given a choice of what type of printer to use, select AirPrint.
  2. Tap on the Printer section to select a printer. Your device should then find the Law School Mobile Printer. Select that printer and that should bring you back to the Printer Options screen.
  3. Select the other options as needed.
(Note: You can use double-sided printing, but there have been some known issues with iOS apps and using the double-sided printing feature. If you have problems printing, try turning double-sided off)
  4. When ready to print, select Print.
  5. Close the app you were printing from and open the Papercut Printing app.
  6. If you haven't already logged in, or didn't select to remember your credentials, login with your Law School AD credentials.
  7. You should see a message that your document has been held in a queue. Select OK.
  8. This will bring you to the main Papercut app screen showing all pending and recent print jobs sent from your device.
  9. You can now release your print job from any release station in the building.
