Assistant United States Attorney
Cymetra M. Williams is an Assistant United States Attorney for the United States Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey. She is currently in the Criminal Division, which handles a wide range of criminal matters within the District of New Jersey.
Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Cymetra completed clerkships with the Honorable Michael A. Shipp of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Honorable Walter F. Timpone, Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court, and Honorable Mary Catherine Cuff, Presiding Judge Appellate Division (while temporarily assigned). Cymetra was a commercial and criminal litigation associate at Gibbons P.C. where she focused on a complex commercial litigation in federal court. Prior to attending law school, Cymetra worked in healthcare management and administration and spent two years teaching English as a foreign language in Osaka, Japan.
While in law school, Cymetra was a graduate assistant for Seton Hall Law School, member of the Interscholastic Moot Court Board, and a member of the Black Law Students Association, Tax Law Society, and Health Law Forum.
Cymetra received a Bachelor of Arts from College of the Holy Cross, a Master of Public Administration and Policy and a Master of Public Health from Columbia University, and a Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law.
