Prof. Deborah Herrera is the Director of the Legal Research and Writing Program and specializes in teaching legal analysis and legal writing to first year law students. She has taught in the Program since 1997 and has been its Director since 1998.
Prof. Herrera received her B.A. (1973) and J.D. (1976) from Seton Hall University and her M.L.S. (1985) from Rutgers, The State University.
Prof. Herrera joined the Seton Hall Law Library in 1977 as a Reference/Faculty Librarian, and was appointed Director of the Law Library in 1985. In 1998, she became Director of the Legal Research and Writing Program and, until June, 2008, directed both departments. In June, 2008, she transitioned from the Law Library to full time administration of the LR&W Program.
