Esere Onaodowan is a Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor, teaching the Reentry Legal Assistance Clinic. In the fall of 2017, she taught the Criminal Defense Clinic. Since January 2011, she has been the Managing Partner at The Law Offices of Onaodowan & Delince, PLLC, in New York. Her practice focuses on all phases of criminal defense and immigration litigation in the municipal, state, federal, and immigration courts in New York and New Jersey. Since October 2011, she has also served as an 18b Contracted Attorney with the Manhattan Family Court Juvenile Delinquent 18b Counsel's Office. Prior to starting her own firm, Professor Onaodowan was a Staff Attorney for five years with The Legal Aid Society in New York. She graduated from Hofstra School of Law, where she represented clients with the Political Asylum Clinic. During law school, she interned with the New York County Defenders Services and the New Jersey Attorney General's Office - Division of Criminal Justice.
In 2014, she was selected as the Commencement Speaker for Rutgers University, College of Arts and Sciences Criminal Justice Graduation. She has served as a Guest Lecturer at Rutgers University School of Criminal Justice and at the Alfred University Masters in Public Administration program.
