Editors compiled data in five categories: credibility, affordability, student outcomes, student experience, and application process. The online MLS at Seton Hall was selected in part because of the student experience: most students enroll part-time, taking one course at a time and graduating within two years. Outcomes also factored into the equation, with Seton Hall having the second highest graduation rate of the group. Additionally, the application is free and the program does not require applicants to submit GRE or LSAT scores.

Seton Hall is the second highest ranked law school on the Forbes list and the school with the second highest ranked health law program (U.S. News & World Report 2023 law school rankings).

The Master of Legal Studies (MLS) degree at Seton Hall Law will be available in seven concentrations in January 2024. Students may begin the program in the fall, spring or summer semesters, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
